Challenge

The goal is to complete 5 miles a week run/walk for four weeks (Jul 26-Aug 22). You can always join the challenge over the four week period, anytime. Every participant will be assigned a dedicated web page to raise funds

Location: At your favorite neighborhood, following social distancing guidelines!

1. Register, via Google forms, for donation tracking (individual or family)
2. Download Runkeeper App on your smartphone for tracking runs (Android iPhone)
3. Create an account in Runkeeper for each participant if you don’t have an account already
4. Every participant should invite [email protected] as a friend in Runkeeper
5. Accept the invitation to join “Asha Detroit 2020 Run/Walk” challenge in Runkeeper on July 26

Highlights

• Event runs from Jul 26 – Aug 22

• Use Runkeeper App on your Computer (manual entry) or smartphone (automatic update) to track and report your activity
  • All participants will be added to the Runkeeper challenge group
• Every participant will be provided a fundraising webpage with option to set their own goal
• Virtual recognition event planned in September to acknowledge top fundraisers and runners
• Participation certificate for kids under 15
• Volunteer hours for high-school students raising funds
